A recent report by The Humanitarian Aid department of the European Commission (ECHO), International Organization of Migration (IOM) and USAID, disclosed that In Q1 2025, the suspension of USAID funding created significant operational challenges for International IOM’s Internal Displaced People (IDP) camp management in Yemen, affecting partner verification and resource allocation.

In Yemen, IOM implements site management programming across 90 IDP site with support from USAID, ECHO.

The report added that the first three months of the year Q1 2025 period, also involved a strategic shift in feedback mechanisms, consolidating all Camp Coordination and Camp Management (CCCM) and Complaints and Feedback Mechanism (CFM) mobile numbers into a single, centralized hotline.

During this quarter, the report added 28 fire incidents were also reported across 17 IDP sites, damaging fewer than 30 shelters and personal belongings.

Moving forward, CCCM plans to hand over 19 sites to local authorities after providing them with the necessary training and support to manage the sites effectively.
